Fake Bear Fake Human 24" x 24" Acrylic on Canvas

"Fake bear Fake human". It is interesting to me that teddy bears are such popular stuffed animals that kids love to hug and sleep with, when in the wild bears are vicious and feared animals. This concept is the focus of this piece where I created the satire of pairing a fake bear that is holding a fake human. l enjoy portraying my characters within my art, as inspired by Jeff Koons, Artist Kaws and Takashi Murakami. This piece is pre designed on the computer using a variety of different sketches. The cactus adds to the painting as sculpture like figure. I think that the coloring is interesting for it has a muted look that works well with the gray throughout the painting. The fake human has a cross on the arm which this Christian symbol is an influence of Howard Finster and the fake human was first used in the painting "Eye Imagine": View "Eye Imagine" on my website www.markskovacs.com
